Horde Siege is a cooperative multiplayer mode of the game Gears of War: E-Day. In this game mode, players work together and battle against the Locust on the big battlefields. As a team, you have to complete various objectives, protect certain places, gather resources, and withstand attacks from enemies. In addition, this game mode allows you to cooperate with other teams during big battles and invasion events. For players who are new to Horde Siege, learning about objectives, classes, resources, and extraction is essential.
How to Play Horde Siege in Gears of War: E-Day

Horde Siege is one of the PvE multiplayer game modes in Gears of War: E-Day. This game mode allows up to 12 players to participate in a fight in three squads consisting of four people, where all squads battle in the same environment. Unlike the regular Horde game mode, all squads have their own missions to perform and can interact with other squads.
There are three distinct playlists in the game mode: Blitz, Siege, and Horde. In Blitz, you get to experience short missions; in Siege, you have to complete several objectives and secondary missions around the map, while in Horde, you need to withstand 10 waves in the defensive area.
How to Start Horde Siege in Gears of War: E-Day

To begin playing Horde Siege in Gears of War: E-Day, first navigate to the multiplayer section and select the game mode Horde Siege. You may create a team consisting of up to four members among your friends, and the rest of the players will be randomly assigned to other teams.
Afterwards, select your class, playlist, and difficulty before heading out onto the battlefield. The classes available to players include Assault, Breacher, Marksman, and Medic, where each class has its own set of weapons and skills.
If you are a beginner in this game mode, select an easier difficulty and a class that suits you best. Assault is a good general-purpose option, while Medic provides valuable healing and revival support. Below are all the classes and what they are good for.
| Class | Description |
| Assault | Best overall class with balanced stats in health and combat. Perfect for close to mid-range combat and defense. |
| Breacher | More aggressive playstyle and suited primarily for frontline combat. Resistant to status debuffs and melee damage. |
| Marksman | For players who enjoy a long-ranged fighting style. Offers the highest long-ranged damage and CRIT hit stats. |
| Medic | An assist class with the highest HP regen, highest HP overall, and has health kits to heal other players. |
Complete Your R.I.G. Objectives
In most cases, Horde Siege missions involve RIG objectives. RIG is an acronym for Resonation Imaging Geographer, which is technology that has been modified to map out the Locust tunnels under Kalona.
Your objectives may include protecting an area, defending the RIG, repairing any damaged equipment, or calibrating the device against the Locusts. Completing these objectives allows you to gain Energy and other resources that will help you upgrade your equipment and defences.
Work With the Other Squads
Each squad may have a different mission, but all three squads fight on the same battlefield. There are times when you meet other players during the transition from one mission to the next and aid them whenever there is a big threat.
In the Large Invasion Event, there will be tough enemies such as the Brumak and Corpser invading the battlefield. Sometimes it might take some time before your team finishes the mission.
You must remember that your main goal is the mission of your squad. It is good to give aid to others when there is a threat, but you can’t stay away from your mission forever.
Use Energy and Resources Carefully
When objectives are completed, you earn Energy, which can be used during your current mission. It can be spent on upgrades for equipment and defence near the objective. Do not spend all your energy right away because it is better to have something saved for when you need it during tough objectives or extraction.
Revive Fallen Teammates
In Horde Siege, teamwork among squads becomes necessary even in case players fall off. These fallen players can drop COG tags that can be collected by fellow players and use these tags to revive them via Supply Cache. Members of other squads can also assist in reviving fallen players; thus, cooperation among squads becomes especially necessary in tough parts of the game.
Reach the Extraction Point
Once you have accomplished all of your goals, your team should get to the extraction location and climb on board the Raven. Extraction is the last big step in the mission that your team will need to take in order to complete it. While you are going to the LZ, you can get attacked by your enemies. However, the most important thing about the extraction is that at least one person from your team extracts.
Horde Siege Difficulty Levels

Horde Siege has three main difficulties:
| Difficulty | Recommended Class Level |
| Infantry | 10–20 |
| Commander | 20–30 |
| Allfather | Max Level |
Greater difficulties provide better rewards but require stronger classes and better coordination. The game recommends a difficulty based on your class level, although your squad can choose the final difficulty in Gears of War: E-Day.
