The Firepower of a Pal plays a very important part in Palworld 1.0, particularly when it comes to beating difficult Expeditions and bosses to gain maximum loot. The Firepower of the Pal is not based only on its level; rather, it is influenced by its Star Rank, stat improvements, and other aspects. With proper techniques, you can make an ordinary Pal a powerful one among all other Pals of your group. In this guide, we’ll tell you the easiest ways to maximise your Pal’s Firepower, level it up quickly, and prepare it for the toughest challenges in the game.
How to Max Pal Firepower
The first thing you will need is a Pal Essence Condenser that can be unlocked when you reach technology level 14. This building is very crucial for you as it helps you to increase the strength of your Pal up to four stars. Also, you need to unlock the Statue of Power, which is available when you reach technology level 9.
Build a Breeding Farm
Put your male and female Pals in a Breeding Farm. After placing them there, your Pets will produce eggs. You must always provide a sufficient amount of Cake because, otherwise, nothing will come out of breeding. The constant production of Cake guarantees rapid egg production.
Glaring Cat’s Eye has a 50% chance to give an extra egg whenever you collect one, but only if you have unlocked and equipped its Saddle. Keep this Glaring Cat’s Eye in your party while collecting eggs. This simple trick lets you hatch many more Pals in much less time. You will find Glaring Cat’s Eye marked on the map above (-43, -193).
After reaching Technology Level 48, get access to an Incubator. Use it for hatching all the gathered eggs. It will allow you to upgrade the Star Rank of your Pals more easily. The more copies of your chosen Pal you have, the easier it will be to upgrade its Star Rank later.
Upgrade Your Pal to 4 Stars
Once you hatch sufficient Pals, go back to the Pal Essence Condenser. Select a Pal with the best stats as your primary Pal and sacrifice all the other Pals in order to upgrade your Pal to 4 Stars. A 4-star Pal gets an enhanced:
- Attack
- Defense
- Maximum Health
The next step would be to include the upgraded Pal in the group. You can also equip the Growth Acceleration Bell accessory, which increases experience gained even further. Combined with the support Pal, you can earn up to 380% more experience. A fast way to level your Pal is by:
- Crafting large numbers of items at your base.
- Defeating bosses around the world.
With these bonuses, your Pal can reach Level 80 very quickly. After reaching a high level, visit the Statue of Power. Spend Lifmunk Effigies to increase your Pal’s:
- Health
- Attack
- Defense
These upgrades noticeably increase your Pal’s overall strength and Combat Power. You can also increase Work Speed, but it doesn’t improve your Pal’s combat performance, so it’s optional if your goal is fighting. You will get a Growth Acceleration Bell from an NPC found on the map above.
Use Omascul to Gain More Experience
Omascul is one of the best Pals to use for levelling purposes. When they are a member of your group, every other Pal within your group gains 40% additional experience. Moreover, upgrading the Partner Skill of Omascul by raising its Star Rank results in even greater experience gains. Thus, Omascul are one of the best supporting Pals for power levelling your team. A common setup is to bring:
- One combat Pal.
- Omascul for the experience boost.
- Three Pals you want to level up.
This lets your levelling Pals earn much more experience without doing anything special. You can find Omascul as a Level 60 Alpha Boss in Feybreak. Head north from the Crimson Cliffs fast travel point to reach its location. If you’re using map coordinates, you’ll find it at (-708, -929).
Hunt Alpha Pals
The other great way to level up is by killing or capturing Alpha Pals. Alpha Pals give a lot more experience than regular Pals and also give lots of loot. For the higher levels, the best places to find Alpha Pals are:
- Sakurajima
- Feybreak
- The Desert
- Ice Mountain
- The Volcanic Region
This is one of the fastest ways to earn experience while collecting rare materials.
