To get the Venomous Armguard, first make your way to Webbed Hollow > Pool of Shattered Jade in Chapter 4 Webbed Hollow. Once you reach the shrine, make your way to the right side and go past all the spider sacs hanging from the ceiling. You will soon reach the lair of the Venom Daoist, and you can start the fight by hitting the large sac in the middle of the area. Once the Venom Daoist appears, you should note some things first. Defeating the Venom Daoist by breaking four of its legs is the only way to get the Venomous Armguard.
If you fight the boss head on, you will only end up damaging it normally and won’t receive the armguard drop. Rather, try to hit the boss from behind and only hit the bulbous portion of its body. The best way to hit the boss is by using Immobilize then quickly deal damage on the back. Repeat this process a few times while avoiding the front of the boss. Eventually you will get a cutscene where four of the arms have fallen off the boss, and you will get the Venomous Armguard.
