These enemies are powered by either Pneuma or Ousia, and the type of power they use changes the attack they perform. If you hit a Patrol Mek with the opposite Arkhe energy, it will lose its Arkhe power and become stunned, leaving it unable to attack for a while. This gives you a great chance to deal damage. Before entering the area, set the difficulty to High Pollution Zone. This will make their locations appear all over the map, making them much easier to find.
How to defeat Underwater Patrol Mek (Ousia and Pneuma)
When the underwater Patrol Mek is using Pneuma, it fires a wind projectile at you. If it hits, it deals Anemo damage equal to 100% of its attack. Keep moving to the side to dodge the shot and avoid taking damage.
When the underwater Patrol Mek is using Ousia, it launches a homing torpedo that tracks your movement. If it connects, it deals physical damage equal to 100% of its attack. Keep swimming and change direction to avoid getting hit.
The underwater Patrol Mek fights differently depending on whether it is powered by Pneuma or Ousia energy. If you attack it with the opposite type of Arkhe energy, the two powers will cancel each other out. This puts the Mek in an overload state, causing it to lose its energy and leaving it unable to fight. After defeating the Mek you can capture it for the event.
