There are a few different ways to unlock the Solar Auto Drill, depending on which game version you own. Some people suggest that you can unlock it via Mimetics, but we found that’s not possible. Here is how we unlocked the drill.
How to Unlock Solar Power Drill via Specialization
If you go back to the memetics page and look at the top left corner, you will find the memetics specialization option. This unlocks after you reach level 5, so you have to level up to find this option. Once you do that, you can find a bunch of new recipes to unlock. At multiples of 5 after 10 level, more options will unlock. You will soon find the Solar Dill recipe at level 30, after which you can head over to the Medium or Advanced supplies bench and craft it using 40x Tungsten Ore, 20x Special Parts, 20x Electronic Part, 20x Metallic Fiber, 1x Storage Battery.
