One of the best secret endings in Silent Hill Townfall is the Dog Ending. To access it, you first have to finish the game, after which you will need to collect three Dog Coins on your New Game Plus journey and place each one in a separate Dog Bank before the game ends. Here’s where you can find all three coins and how to unlock the secret Dog ending.
How to Unlock the Secret Ending
To access one of the most bizarre secret endings in Silent Hill, one will first have to complete the game at least once. This involves beating the last boss in the game and going through the credits. One should then begin playing in New Game Plus mode. Here, one needs to collect three Dog Coins and deposit them in three different Dog Banks.
Bronze Dog Coin – West Shaw Road
At the beginning of your new journey, you should make your way into Saint Amelia and move towards West Shaw Road. There will be a video store in that area. Enter there and look for the back room. Look at the shelves in there to get the Bronze Dog Coin.
After getting it, you should now go towards the pharmacy on Main Street, where a Guide Dog Bank is located. Interact with it and deposit the Bronze Dog Coin.
Silver Dog Coin – Claraara Woods
In the next coin, you will be in Part 4, Chapter 9, and the location for this is in Claraara Woods. To begin, you should follow the road that is infested with monsters. Once you arrive at the end of the road, you have to turn right and head toward the dead end. There will be two gardens and a shed in this location. The Silver Dog Coin is located in the shed.
But before you can use the Dog Bank, there is still one thing that needs to be done. It involves getting the Bolt Cutters from the locker store first. Having the Bolt Cutters, then you have to open the gate behind the post office and you’ll eventually access the Lingerette. From the Lingerette, you will get the Dog Bank where you can deposit the Silver Dog Coin.
Gold Dog Coin – Room 793
This coin is located towards the end of the chapter. You will unlock the control room, which is where you need to go to get Valve F. While you do that, pay attention to the monitors in the control room and locate Room 793. Go inside Room 793 to pick up the last Gold Dog Coin.
Bring the Gold Dog Coin with you and head to the location of the last boss. Prior to reaching the boss, you will find a Dog Bank near the end of the long red path. Talk to it and use the Gold Dog Coin inside.
Watch the Secret Ending
Once you’ve placed all three coins in the proper locations, simply continue playing the game to completion and go to meet Richard at the pier for the special ending where you get a crazy cutscene showing how weird everything is becoming. If you’ve performed all three coin stages correctly, you will get the secret ending.
