The new weapon introduced in Palworld Feybreak is the Meowmere, an incredible cat-themed melee weapon featured in a crossover with Terraria. This unique weapon launches rainbows and cat heads and you can use it to combat enemies while staying out of harm’s reach.

The Meowmeow sword boasts 200 Attack and is part of the collaboration between Palworld and Terraria. Here’s a complete guide on how to obtain the Meowmere sword in Palworld, including the necessary level and crafting resources.

Meowmere: Its Background and Relevance

The Meowmere sword is a Hardmode post-Moon autoswinging melee weapon. When used, it fires a projectile resembling a cat’s head, trailed by a rainbow. This weapon does not consume mana or ammunition. The projectile is influenced by gravity, can pierce multiple enemies, and ricochets off blocks. Each ricochet triggers an explosion that damages nearby enemies.

Note: The projectile vanishes after piercing four enemies, striking a fifth target, or ricocheting off blocks four times, disappearing upon hitting a block for the fifth time.

More Info on Meowmere

TheMeowmere has an 11% chance of being dropped by the Moon Lord. With the introduction of Hardmode, it raises speculation about whether this weapon will be something players need to earn. While this may not be particularly difficult, players who prefer solo play may find it challenging. A closer look at the weapon’s details provides more insight:

  • The cat projectile emits a meow sound and creates a small rainbow explosion every time it ricochets.
  • This explosion deals damage to all enemies within a 3×3 area.
  • In close-quarter situations, this can be extremely useful. For example, within the Hardmode, inside the dungeon, the bouncing projectiles’ area-of-effect is highly effective against large groups of enemies.

When used, the Meowmere sends ricocheting cat heads flying in all directions, creating a spectacle of rainbows, particularly in some of the dungeons where the effect is overwhelming. The cat-shaped rainbow projectiles are originally inspired by the Nyan Cat meme.

The Meowmere boasts the highest listed base damage of any weapon in the game. Prior to its release, it was referred to as the Meowmur. It also appears as a weapon in Dungeon Defenders 2, with a sprite somewhat similar to the Palladium Sword’s.

Getting Meowmere in Palworld

The Meowmere sword becomes available at Technology Level 30. It is part of the Ancient Technology tree and requires two Ancient Technology Points to unlock. Since Ancient Technology Points are significantly rarer than standard points, be sure to reserve at least two for this sword.

Once you unlock the Meowmere in the Technology tree, you can craft it using the following materials:

  • x22 Ingot
  • x22 Paldium Fragment
  • x22 Coal
  • x3 Predator Core

By the time you reach Level 30 and unlock the Meowmere, you should have a decent supply of some of these resources. Ingots are an early-game material refined from Ore, while Palladium Fragments are commonly obtained from mining or crafted using the Crusher.

Remember, this marks just the beginning of the Palworld x Terraria collaboration, with even more content set to release in 2025! Get ready to embark on a new adventure, all while enjoying the sound of cats meowing!
