Emery is one of the few new resources added to the game in the recent 1.1 update. Emery nodes are easy to identify once you venture into the new area – Oakveil Woodlands. They appear like any other gemstone node, but are more pronounced due to the orange Emery piercing the normal stone node. But, Emerys are a bit tricky to farm as they require a more leveled-up tool, and there is a certain way to farm them. There are, of course, other ways to get the item.
How to Get Emery in V Rising
Emery is easy to come by as you take on the enemy encampment in the Oakveil Woodlands. They are likely to drop from enemies, from the wooden crates and drums you break at the encampment, in chests, and, of course, the best way is to farm the nodes. So, here are all the ways you can get Emery in V Rising. Do note that Emery is a late-game resource that you will require plenty of once you are in the new area, so farming the nodes may be your only option at a point.
Farming Emery Nodes
This is the best way to get the maximum amount you can carry at a time, which is 500. So far, we have not seen a concentration of the Emery nodes like you can for Iron, Copper, or Silver. They are scattered around the Oakveil Woodlands like Glass nodes are in Dunley. So, you may have to roam quite a bit to find the required amount.
To mine the Emery Nodes, you need Level 23 or Dark Silver tools at the least. You also cannot hit the node repeatedly, or it will explode. Hit it once and give it a few seconds to cool off.
Dropped from Emery Golems
These are not the usual golems you may have encountered in Farbane Woods. They are high-tier and come with various attacks. If you are at a lower level, a single attack may finish you off. The Emery Golems are dormant and resemble an Emery Node, but when you hit it, the Golem will wake. Beating the Golem rewards you with Emery and other items.
Loot Crates, Enemies, and Break Wooden Boxes
Finally, as you explore the Oakveil Woodland, loot everything and you will likely get a good amount of the resource that way.
How to Use Emery in V Rising
One of the main uses of Emery is to make Ember Glass, which is a resource you will require often in late game. Here are the users of Emery in V Rising.
- Ember Glass – To make ember glass, you need to set up the Advanced Furnace (unlocked by Cyril the Cursed Smith). You can then combine 8 x Venom Sap and 20 x Emery to get 1 x Ember Glass.
- Redistribution Engine – Emery is also required to set up the Redistribution Engine (unlocked by Henry Blackbrew the Doctor).
- Athenaeum – Finally, the recipe for Athenaeum has changed, and it now requires Emery as one of the resources to set it up. The Athenaeum is unlocked by defeating Henry Blackbre,w the Doctor.
