There are a few ways you can try and get better gear in early games while playing Dark and Darker. If you don’t have any money yet, then it is best to raid dungeons and caves to loot gold off of chests. If you can invest in the lockpicking skill of the Rogue, you can use it to get into locked areas where there is a lot of gold. Besides gold, pick up any loot you get and sell the ones you don’t want for some extra cash. Goblin Caves and Forgotten Castle are two great places to farm gold and items
Next, locate vendors and buy gear from their store. Vendors unlock at level 20, and by completing vendor quests, you can unlock more high level gear later on. Trade channels are another great way to search for gear that other players don’t need. You can sort the trade channel to only show gear for sale and purchase the ones you want. Be sure to check all the class channels, as you might find gear of various classes at a steep discount.
