How to Get Rare Samples in Helldivers 2
Rare Samples are as the name suggests, it is quite rare to find them. Unlike their Common Samples counterpart, you would have a harder time trying to get your hands on Rare Samples. That is because they only spawn on harder difficulties like Challenge mode. Once you select a harder difficulty, you would have to scavenge every nook and cranny to find Rare Samples. They can be found while completing the main quests and also while completing side quests. All you need to do is find minor points of interest while completing these missions and investigate them. You might end up with other valuable items like Super Credits or Stims in case you don’t get Rare Samples this way, so it’s a win-win.
The only drawback to collecting samples is that if you die, you will lose them all. It is best to mark your position and inform your team so they can retrieve all your fallen goods, including samples, when you are dead. Or you can always come back to your last point of interest and retrieve them yourself.

To use Rare Samples, make your way to the Ship Module to check out what items you can purchase to upgrade your ship. There are different prices for each upgrade, so you have to think twice and carefully invest your hard earned samples to get the best upgrades.
