In Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, the first story mission, There and Back Again, guides players through the basics of surviving in the Zone, a dangerous and unpredictable wasteland. One key objective in this mission is to locate an Artifact hidden within an anomalous field. In this guide, we will discuss how to find the artifact in “There and Back Again” in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl.

How to Find the Artifact in There and Back Again

Find the Artifact in the anomalous field is a part of the “There and Back Again” Main mission. To find the artifact in the anomalous field you need to go to the quest marker in your map in the Lesser Zone. You should first equip yourself with the echo detector.

When you reach the anomalous field keep the echo detector in your hand. Echo Detector is used to locate Artifacts, which emit signals detected through sound and flashing lights. This device helps players avoid dangers and retrieve Artifacts. Now move carefully around the pools of radioactive sludge. You will hear the detector beep faster as you approach the glowing goo. Avoid stepping in the small yellow puddles and make your way toward the barrel in the centre.

The echo detector’s beeping and blue light flashes will speed up as you get closer to the Artifact. Walk slowly toward the source of the increasing signals, and soon, the Artifact will reveal itself as if it appeared out of nowhere. Once you grab the Slug artifact, get ready to face a Bloodsucker. These creatures can blend into their surroundings, but you can track them by listening for their footsteps in the grass or their distinctive growls.
