There are two grimoires you need to get, and you can get them from various vendors. The first On the Transference of Souls grimoire is owned by Isaac himself, and you can only get it after completing the Short Sighted Ambition quest. You can find Isaac in his store called Isaac’s Wares in Mercantile Quarter, Bakbattahl. You can also start this side quest after completing the Nation of Lambent Flame quest. For the second grimoire of the same name, make your way to Checkpoint Rest Town and visit Ibrahim’s Scrap Store. You need 2,000G to purchase it, and it will be found under your Valuables tab in your inventory.

Once you have it, you will be warned by Ibrahim about the contents of the book. If you make your way back to Isaac’s store, his wife and kid will warn you not to give the original tome to him. If you are looking for the good outcome, it is best to go back to Ibrahim’s Scrap Store and duplicate the grimoire you have. Head back and hand over the duplicate grimoire to Isaac to complete the quest.
