The Legendary Pals Paladius and Necromus are the hardest ones to catch in Palworld 1.0 since they can be captured at only one location in the Desert biome. This guide will cover every piece of information regarding the areas in which they can be found, how one can prepare for the encounter, their stats, Partner Skills, Work Suitability, and other important details.
Paladius and Necromus Overview
The two Legendary Pals Paladius and Necromus can be encountered together at a single location in Palworld. Paladius is Pal No. 198, a Neutral-type Pal, and Necromus is Pal No. 199, a Dark-type Pal. These Pals are exclusive to the location they’re found in which makes them rare.
How to Get Paladius and Necromus

Travel to the Deep Sand Dunes teleport point in the northern Desert biome (441, 682) and head northwest. You will find a structure in the area that marks the location of the Legendary Pals. Here you will find Necromus and Paladius together and it is the only place these two legendary pals can be spotted. Be sure to equip Pal Tamer’s Glasses to make things easier for you.

It is suggested that players prepare for this encounter due to the fact that both of the Pals are level 50. Equipping the Ring of Mercy would help you avoid accidentally defeating them. Help yourself with some heat-resistant gear while traversing the desert as the temperatures can be extreme.

As for the capturing technique, since Legendary Spheres have the highest chances of capture, they should be used instead of the other standard types of spheres. Although it is possible to capture the Legendary Pals with other spheres, Legendary Spheres will grant you the highest success rate.
Pals that you can use against Necromus are Jetragon and Quivern whilst Pals like Frostallian Noct and Shadowbeak are best to use against Paladius. After successfully catching either Pal, you’ll immediately unlock its corresponding achievement.
Alternate Ways to Get Paladius and Necromus
You can get Necromus by hatching it from a Huge Dark Egg and Paldius from a Huge Common Egg. These eggs can be found across the island for you to pick up easily. You can also get these Pals from breeding them at a Breeding Farm and using an Egg Incubator to make the egg hatch.
Necromus and Paladius Stats
Although they share the same rarity and location, the two Legendary Pals excel in different areas.
| Stat | Necromus | Paladius |
| Paldeck No. | 199 | 198 |
| Element | Dark | Neutral |
| Base HP | 130 | 130 |
| Base Attack | 145 | 120 |
| Base Defense | 120 | 145 |
Paladius specializes in higher Defense, while Necromus focuses on stronger Attack. Both have identical base HP.
Partner Skills
The Paladius has a unique Partner Skill known as Holy Knight of the Firmament, which allows it to act as a mount for a player and can also perform triple jump. Additionally, activating the Spear Thrust also brings along the Necromus to fight on the player’s side.
The Necromus has its own Dark Knight of the Abyss Partner Skill. Like the Paladius, it can be used as a mount with an ability to jump double while mounted. Paladius also joins the battle and fights alongside Necromus when the Twin Spears are activated.
Paldeck Entries
As per the details provided in Paldeck, the two Legendary Pals were initially one being. Paladius, as per description, is said to be bereft of all negative emotions although some hint of hatred still rests deep in its eyes. Necromus represents all the bad emotions but still shows a small streak of compassion.
Work Suitability
Despite their different elements, both Legendary Pals share the same Work Suitability:
- Lumbering Lv. 6
- Mining Lv. 6
Both Legendary Pals are considered strong late-game companions.
Drops by Paladius and Necromus
Both Paladius and Necromus drop the same items:
- Large Pal Soul
- Diamond
- Hexolite
Since both Pals respawn after 1 hour, you’ll be able to catch or defeat them again for loot after that particular time has passed.
