Though the fighting process doesn’t have much tricks to apply, players need to find out the weakness of the Soul Eaters.
No matter which Soul Eaters you are fighting, all of them have a similar fighting method, and that is to throw Kratos’ Leviathan Axe to the chest of the enemy when it opens the chest. If the chest is closed, it is useless to throw the Axe as it won’t damage the enemy. However, throwing the Axe into the open chest case will deal a considerable amount of damage. If you are confused about when to throw the Axe, You can check the image below-
Generally, the Soul Eaters close the Chest Case as it’s their weak point, and naturally, they don’t want players to hit it frequently. So, they only open the chest case to shoot the beam. Whenever the Soul Eater opens the chest case, immediately throw the Axe to hit it.
The Soul Eaters have some pre-set moves that are not difficult to avoid. Players can easily block the beam they launch. Use your Shield to block incoming attacks. Sometimes, they throw glowing orb-like things you can pick up and throw at them. If your aim is proper and it hits the Soul Eater back, it’ll get massive damage.
Except for the Soul Eaters, each time you find some of its subordinates that you must deal with. They are not hard to deal with. They are minor enemies you can kill with 2 or 3 hits of your Axe. Keep hitting the Soul Eater as soon as you get the chance, and as the stun meter’s full, the enemy will be stunned for a few seconds and allow Kratos to climb him and hit its Chest case. Even in the Final Scene, Kratos will climb the Soul Eater after it falls on the ground and pull out a thing from the chest case to kill it.
