Pyromaniac Boss Fight Guide in The First Descendent- How to Defeat?
Action-adventure games without powerful bosses don’t seem thrilling. So, The First Descendant has quite a few powerful boss fights that can really give the players a hard time, even if they are in a group of four fighting against one Boss. Pyromaniac is one of the most challenging bosses to fight. He has a fiery appearance, and his only devastating move is his fire-throwing move. He can destroy the structures, and if you are hit by the fire he throws at you, it’ll deal massive damage. Remember, you can only find this Boss while playing multiplayer. Solo players don’t encounter Pyromaniac.
The battle arena is limited, and players sometimes need to hide behind the structures so the Boss can’t see them. But, of course, be careful, the Boss doesn’t break the structure, and you get damaged by his attack and die. However, the only relaxing thing is that the game is not too harsh on the players and respawns them immediately after they die. So, you can start the battle again from the point you left.
When the Boss first arrives, you’ll find the name of the Boss on your screen with red and white bars under it (image below). The red bar is the Boss’s health, and the white bar is his shield. If you want to defeat the Pyromaniac, you must break the Boss’s shield first. If you don’t break the shield and fire at him randomly, it’s just a waste of your ammo; the Boss won’t take even slight damage.
The health and shield bars of the Boss are pretty big, so it may take some time to defeat the Boss, but with proper strategy and teamwork, you can beat the Boss. First, choose weapons that can deal heavy damage from long-range and mid-range because it is no way safe to get closer to the Pyromaniac boss. Now target the glowing blue portion on his shoulder (image above). Hit that glowing part to break his shield. As long as the shield is up, the Boss won’t take damage.
Once you break the shield and the white bar becomes empty, you can now hit the Boss with your weapons, and he will take damage. In the meantime, don’t forget to protect yourselves from the Boss’s attacks. When you attack, the Boss will attack you back till its last breath. So, you can use runes to save yourself and your teammates from the Boss’s attacks. Also, the Grappling Hook is there that you can use to attack the Boss from the top of a structure or escape from the Boss’s sight.
Besides the Pyromaniac boss, you’ll have to deal with the KingFishers. These flying enemies join the battle a little later but are pretty dangerous. They also hit hard. These KingFishers attack in a group and deal a considerable amount of damage. Before fighting with the Boss, deal with these enemies. Use Runes to protect yourself from their attack and simultaneously keep shooting them. Their health and shield bars will also be visible above their head (image below). Hit the blue spots to break their shields first, and then it’ll be easier to kill them. They also don’t take damage when their shields are up.
