In the game Frostpunk 2, there are five big problems that cities face: hunger, cold, sickness, dirtiness, and crime. If a lot of people get sick, there won’t be as many people to work, and people will be more upset. So, it’s really important to stop people from getting sick and to help those who do.

In today’s world, we know that it’s better to stop something from happening than to try to fix it later. This is also true in the game Frostpunk 2. The best way to deal with sickness is to prevent it from happening. But sometimes, this isn’t possible, so there are also ways to help people who are sick. In this guide, I’ll talk about how to stop people from getting sick and how to help those who do.

How to Decrease Disease

In Frostpunk 2, people get sick because they’re not warm enough, hungry, or living in dirty places. If you make sure your people have enough food, are warm, and live in clean places, they’ll usually be healthy.

If you’re not sure why your people are sick, look at the syringe icon on the main screen. It will tell you what’s causing the sickness in the town you’re looking at. To stop people from getting sick, you should first fix the biggest problem.

Heat Demand

If your people are cold, they’ll get sicker. Make sure you have enough fuel to keep your city warm, whether that’s coal, steam, oil, or a combination of all three. You can check how much heat you need and how much you have by looking at the flame icon at the top of the screen. If your people are warm enough, they won’t be cold, and this will help them stay healthy.

Food Demand

If your people don’t have enough food, they’ll get sicker. Build enough places to grow food to meet everyone’s needs. You can see how much food you need by looking at the leaf icon at the top of the screen. Try to find places with good soil and use deep melting drills to get more food. Upgrading your technology can also help you grow more food.

Decrease Squalor level

Squalor is how dirty and polluted your city is. It can make people sick if you don’t do anything about it, and it gets worse if people don’t have enough shelter, food, or heat. To make your city cleaner, you can build air filtration buildings, make sure you have enough materials, and choose technologies that don’t make your city as dirty.

Building Hospital

You can build certain buildings in specific areas to make people less sick. If you build a hospital in an area with residents, you can use a special skill called “Preliminary Triage” when people get sick. But this skill will sometimes kill some people. You can also build emergency medical hubs, which will make the people in the area nearby much better. Build these hubs and research them in the Idea Tree, and make sure they’re in the right place.

Passing Laws

You can also pass laws to help people get better. These laws can be voted on after you research certain things. If you pass the “Treatment: Experimental Treatment” law, you can use a special ability called “Conduct Medical Trials” in any place where people live and there’s a hospital. This ability can help people get better, but it might also make some people die.

Exploring Frostland

As you explore the frozen land, you might find special places that can help people get less sick if you turn them into outposts. To do this, you just need to connect these places to your city using a trail.

Conclusion

Stopping people from getting sick is harder than it sounds, and some people will probably get sick from time to time. But in general, it’s better to stop people from getting sick than to try to cure them later. If people are sick, try to make them less sick, and they will get better on their own. Every hospital you build helps people get better faster. So, if a lot of people are sick and you want them to get back to work quickly, build more hospitals, if you have enough healthy people to work in them.
