For the upliftment of the city, players need to ensure communication between the two places. As the players discover Outpost and other checkpoints, they will receive valuable resources from them. To bring those to the city, players will need a trade route and for that players need to develop Trails and Skyways in Frostpunk 2.
How to create Trails in Frostpunk 2?
Trails in Frostpunk 2 allow the Frostland teams to operate outposts and settlements in the game. Building the Trails demands heat maps and Prefabs. However, players are suggested not to use these resources until required.
Here is a step-by-step guide to developing Trails in Frostpunk 2
- To build a Trail in Frostpunk 2, start by navigating to the point of interest (POI) where players want the Trail to begin. Left-click on the POI to open its information panel, then find and select the prompt for “Connect Path/Trail” to start constructing the new Trail.
- A map will appear, showing a line originating from the POI players selected. Players can now control this line to create a pathway to another POI of their choice. Connect the line to a post located at the edge of their city, or to an existing Trail leading to their colony. This process will link the POI to their settlement, allowing resource extraction or other benefits.
How to create Skyways in Frostpunk 2?
To build a Skyway in Frostpunk 2, players must first research “Skyways” in the Frostland section of the Idea Tree. Once this research is complete, a “Skyways Construction” circle will appear in the bottom-right corner of the screen when viewing the Frostland map. After that players can follow the below steps to develop skyways in the game:
- Certain Outposts in Frostpunk 2 can be converted into Settlements, which provide additional materials when connected to a city via Skyway. This conversion, however, is only possible after researching “Settlement Heating” in the Heating section of the Idea Tree.
- Connecting an Outpost to a city by Skyway also boosts its resource output, making the connection more efficient. Additionally, more resources can be transferred between a Colony and a city when they are connected by Skyway, enhancing the overall productivity of your settlements and cities.
