To start crafting uncommon upgraded items, you first need to gather 4x Lumber, 2x Ingots, and 3x Twine. This will help you craft the Simple Upgrade Bench. Now, make your way to the building menu and head over to the Crafting: Basics & Repair section. You will find the blueprint for the Simple Upgrade Bench here. Craft and place the bench on a clearing to start using it. Interact with the bench to unlock the menu. You will find several items that you can upgrade to the next level. Select any item and you can see what materials are required to upgrade it. You should also note that you will require T1 Essence for upgrading an item, and you will require 40 T1 Essence to upgrade one item. Gather the necessary materials, then use it to upgrade said item.
Upgrading your gear and equipment will help you get stronger and boost your gear score. The base stats of said item will change and it will offer higher boosts when equipped.
