Rubber, also known as Silicone Rubber, is one of the first materials you will need in Subnautica 2. It is used to craft many important tools and pieces of equipment that help you survive and explore the ocean. Items like Fins, the Survival Knife, and Power Cells all require this resource. In this guide, we will show you where to collect Creepvine Seed Clusters, how to craft Silicone Rubber, and what it is used for.
How To Craft Rubber

The best time to find Creepvine Seed Clusters is during nighttime when they emit a radiant yellow glow. The glowing seeds come from the huge creepvine plants located within the Kelp Forest Biome. There are usually a lot of glowing seeds near the area where your Lifepod is located. Some may be seen right beneath your Lifepod, while others are a quick swim away from your Lifepod.
When you see the glowing pods, swim up to them and collect as many as you can. They are very common, so it is easy to stock up on a large supply.
The Cradle Shootroot can be gathered from the plant since it is actually the flower growing on the bottom part of the plant. Just use your Survival Multitool to cut the plant, after which you can gather the Shootroot and add it to your inventory.
Once you have collected enough seed clusters, bring them back to your Lifepod or base where you need to make use of the Fabricator. From here, go to Resources > Basic Materials > Silicone Rubber. You will require one Creepvine Seed Cluster for each Silicone Rubber piece.
How To Use Rubber

Collect glowing Creepvine Seed Cluster, deliver them to the Fabricator, and create Silicone Rubber. Silicone Rubber is primarily used to make some important items like Fins and the Survival Knife. It is also required for many other recipes, for instance, the Power Cell that is used to provide power for vehicles and equipment in later stages of the game.
