The Vault and Massive Damage challenges for the PG 20 Orders in MW4 DMZ require you to restore power, crack a vault code, and destroy an armored vehicle. You’ll need to find a car battery and vault access card before reaching the bank’s loot. This guide covers how to open the vault, obtain a rocket launcher, destroy the tank, and collect its loot.
How to Open the Hanex Bank Vault
For the Vault challenge in DMZ, make your way to either the Hanex branch located in Cheongun Village or the Wolves Stadium. If you choose the Cheongun Village branch, look out for the western door that leads to the basement. Once you’re in the basement, find the access panel near the stairs. You will need a car battery in order to provide power to the access panel.
Car batteries may be found at nearby gas stations, but you may need to visit several gas stations for it. Once you locate a battery, head back to the Hanex bank’s basement and place it in the access panel. Once you do this, head upstairs and look for the Bank Branch Vault Access card on the bank’s ground floor. The card could be in a random location within the bank, so search thoroughly for it.
How to Unlock the Vault
When you get to the vault, there should be a paper somewhere in the cellar that has the first three digits of the access code. Return to the keypad and try combinations of those three digits plus a digit from 0 to 9. For example, if the note says 156, then try the combinations 1560, 1561, and the remaining combinations until the vault opens. Inside the vault you will be presented with two safes plus extra loot including loose cash and documents.
How to Get a Rocket Launcher and Destroy a Tank
To get a rocket launcher, you have to go through the Operation Silent Ledger mission. Proceed to the casino penthouse and activate the generator. Take the elevators to get to the penthouse and call reinforcements. A reinforcement may drop a rocket launcher, although this method is not guaranteed to work every time.
After you get the rocket launcher, find a tank and prepare your DDOS device. Get close enough for your tank to be in range and then use the DDOS to disable the reactive armor. With the armor gone, it will be easier to shoot at the flanks and at the front. You can also fire at the rear of the tank, as it gets damaged even without disabling the armor.
Continue shooting until you destroy the tank. In order to replenish your rockets, bring ammo boxes with you, as one box gives you three additional rockets. The tank can be found on the east side of the grid. If you have a mission near the grid or Nurigo Mall, make use of it to save time.
How to Loot the Destroyed Tank
Once you are done with the tank, make sure you check all the three loot points. That would include the bottom of the rear, the front, and the area on top of the gunner. Be sure to collect any loot you find here before you leave to complete the Massive Damage challenge in DMZ.
