The Outskirts of Nochte Beacon is one of the areas you can cleanse in Mortal Shell 2. Reaching the beacon is fairly straightforward, but you’ll have to deal with several enemies and a few obstacles along the way. There are also some useful rewards to collect, including 500 coins, Ladderite, a Hag Stone, OVUM, and a Glimpse. In this guide, we’ll tell you the path to the beacon and explain how to clear the enemies and cleanse it.
How to Cleanse Outskirts of Nochte Beacon
The Outskirts of Nochte Beacon is located in the west-southwestern part of the upper section of the map. Move into the area, then take the path that will lead to cleansing the beacon. Start by killing the enemy in front of you. Once this enemy has been killed, move to the fake wall, then break through it to kill the enemies behind it, including a bigger worm-like enemy. Defeat them all and continue forward.
Move up the stairs after you have killed the enemies and get ready to face some poison enemies along the way. Be cautious while dealing with them because, after exploding, they produce a poison cloud. After getting rid of the poison enemies, refill the yellow meter from the nearby location. Move ahead until you reach a drawbridge. Use the crossbow or shotgun to bring it down. Move to the other side and get 500 coins there.
Defeating the Monsters
Keep moving forward, and you’ll come across an upgrade material called Ladderite after knocking down the pole nearby. After picking it up, jump up to the next area where you’ll find more enemies. Get rid of them and, if necessary, restore the amount of energy in the yellow bar on the screen.
Once you’re ready, open the nearby chest to obtain a Hag Stone. This item uses 20 Resolve to infuse your sidearm with poison, allowing you to deal poison damage to enemies.
Now you will get into another area filled with enemies and another big worm-like enemy. Rather than jumping down and fighting all enemies, it is better to remain on the top platform and shoot the enemies using your crossbow. If you run out of ammunition, simply go back and refill your meter at the pole nearby before continuing.
Now, after dealing with enemies, move further to the end of the area and interact with the corrupted beacon to remove the corruption. As a result, you will get OVUM and the Glimpse. You can now safely exit the Outskirts of Nochte Beacon and use it as a normal waypoint.
