Ting-Lu is a new Pokemon, and tracking it down can prove to be a challenge for most. You will not be running into them naturally from playing the main story, so you will need to go out of your way to find it.

Side exploration is the way to go if you want to find Ting-Lu. There are several things that you first need to do before you can begin looking for this Pokemon. The first thing is to remove the chains which are blocking the shrine of Ting-Lu. For this, you will need to find and remove all eight green stakes scattered throughout the Paldea region. You can check out our guide on all these locations.

Once you have found all the green stakes, the next step is to return to the shrine which is to the north of Lake Casseroya, and interact with it. This will trigger the battle with Ting-Lu. You should have a lot of Poké Balls on you before you begin, as it is going to be a long and tough battle.

You can focus on getting some Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, Bug, and Fairy Type Pokemon to counter against Ting-Lu which is a Dark and Ground Type Pokémon. Make sure not to use Poison, Rock, Ghost, and Dark Type attacks as well as Electric and Psychic Type as they won’t be affected much by them.

You should save the game in case Ting-Lu faints, and in this case you will need to return to fight it again. Once you have defeated Ting-Lu, you will be able to capture it.
