Pokemon Scarlet and Violet was released only a few days back and has received immense popularity among players. Though it is a Nintendo-exclusive series, it receives no less fan-following. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet feature bosses to fight with, and none of these bosses are easy to defeat. Mela is one of the Fire Team Star boss players need to fight and defeat as they progress through the game.
If you are stuck while fighting her, it is nothing surprising as she has two powerful Pokemon to use against you. So, this guide will help you with the process of fighting Mela in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Guide to Beat Mela in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet- How to Do?
Mela is the leader of Team Star, which is for the Fire Pokemon. Team Star is mainly formed by some evil trainers to interrupt the students of the Paldea Academy. There are five bosses to fight with, and the first among them is Mela. Though the first, don’t take her lightly. She is a powerful enemy.
To decide your Pokemon to fight Mela, first, you need to be aware of the Pokemon types Mela will use against you. When the fight begins, Mela will first use Torkoal, a level 27 Pokemon. It is a Fire-type Pokemon. So, if you are thinking of using a Water-type Pokemon against Torkoal, it won’t be effective at all. Torkoal has draught ability, and it can set the sun to weaken water-type attacks. We recommend using Nacli at this point to fight with Torkoal. Use Nacli’s rock and mud attacks to defeat Torkoal.
After taking down Torkoal, next comes another fire-type Pokemon of level 26- Schedar Starmobile (Revevroom). It is the engine part of the car Mela is standing on. Against this Pokemon also, you can effectively use Nacli. Alternatively, you can use Quaxwell. However, defeating this Pokmon is a little bit more difficult than Torkoal.
So, if you are using Nacli, keep using the rock and mud attacks against this enemy. If you have switched to Quaxwell, keep using the Aqua Cutter move. It’s super effective against Revevroom. Defense will fail badly against Schedar Starmobile, so it’s better to attack it. However, use Super Potions to regain your Pokemon’s HP during this fight.
This fight will take time, and your Pokemon will get massive damage when hit by the enemy attacks, but if you have Super Potions with you and can hit the enemy Pokemon continuously, you can finally defeat Mela. This fight may take several chances to complete, but once you complete it, you’ll receive Mela’s team Star badge. Also, before you meet Mela, you must defeat 30 Pokemon within 10 minutes in the Star Barrage.
