Honkai Star Rail- All Path Class Explained

There are in total 7 Paths from which a character in Honkai Star Rail can be. Each of the Paths has its own unique playstyle and benefits on the battlefield. So without further delay, let’s start with what each path provides and what characters are in those paths:

1. Hunt Path

The Hunt Path characters deal extraordinary amounts of single-target damage fulfilling the main DPS-type role in most games. These characters will be your best choice in dealing with most bosses and elite enemies. They are very good in the single-target situation and provide a huge amount of damage. Characters in this path include the following:

  • Dan Heng (Wind Element)
  • Seele (Quantum Element)
  • Sushang (Physical element)
  • Yanqing (Ice Element)

2. Destruction Path

The Destruction Path characters deal high damage while also having great survivability. They have very good damage (not the best) but they are not a glass canon like the Hunt Characters as they have some kind of survivability mechanics in their kits. Characters in this path include the following:

  • Arlan (Lightning Element)
  • Clara (Physical Element)
  • Hook (Fire Element)
  • Trailblazer (Physical Element)

3. Erudition Path

The Erudition path characters deal high areas of effect damage and are called the AoE damage dealers. These characters are great for clearing little mobs/summons of the main boss or elite. Characters in this path include the following:

  • Herta (Ice Element)
  • Himeko (Fire Element)
  • Qingque (Quantum Element)
  • Serval (Lightning Element)

4. Harmony Path

The Harmony Path characters provide stat buffs to allies to improve the team’s damage or chance of attack in the battle. These characters are typically known as support units and provide the DPS characters with the much-required buffs or speed. Characters in this path include the following:

  • Asta (Fire Element)
  • Bronya (Wind Element)
  • Tingyun (Lightning Element)

5. Nihility Path

The Nihility path characters apply debuffs to enemies to reduce their efficiency in the battle or deal consistent Dot damage to them. They can also reduce their stats or even slow them to give more chances to your DPS. Characters in this path include the following:

  • Pela (Ice Element)
  • Sampo (Wind Element)
  • Welt (Imaginary Element)

6. Preservation Path

The Preservation Path characters possess powerful defensive abilities, these are the character which is the tank of the team. Players will require these path characters because the healers are somewhat scarce in the game right now. Characters in this path include the following:

  • Gepard (Ice Element)
  • March 7th (Ice Element)
  • Trailblazer (Fire Element)

7 Abundance Path
