You have to solve this puzzle as part of the quest for The Illusion’s Finishings. There are two of these puzzles to solve during the quest. To complete the puzzle, you need to move the red prism close to the Ore, then attack the prism. You can move the prism by standing near it till you get the move option. Move the prism as close to the ore as you can, then set it down. After that, get behind the prism and attack it. This will release red waves that will shatter the ore. You have to place the direction of your attack in a way that the wave will hit the ore, thus breaking it.
Sometimes you will have to activate the other prisms in the area with the one that is already powered up. You can do that by bringing the activated prism close to the inactive prism, then using the attack button to send a wave. Once the wave hits the prism, it will be activated. You can use the new prism to move it around and destroy any remaining ores.
