Having a high segment score will help you earn better XP than having a low score. The highest rank you can get is a 10, and to get to this point you have to follow all the indications on the screen correctly. During a race, you will be judged based on your speed, acceleration, brake handling, and turns. Also, avoiding obstacles and staying on the lane without derailing are also some criteria you need to meet. Anytime you start a race, you will get indicators on the bottom of the screen. This will mark how you fare while completing the objectives. Each time you collide or derail off the tracks, your score will instantly tank to a 0.1. So it is best to follow all the indicators on screen and try to stay on track.

There are colored indicators that will appear, and you have to follow them with your car. Blue indicators means to accelerate, while yellow means to de-accelerate. Red indicators means to correctly brake when required, and to also turn when needed. While segment scores are not available across all modes, you will encounter it during Builder’s Cup Practice Session and during Featured Multiplayer.
