Elden Ring has been released and it’s everything that one would have hoped from FromSoftware; however, the game has some serious issues that need to be addressed. Be it the general crash, stuttering, low FPS, a few errors here and there, and the title issue – Elden Ring white screen crash. All the game-breaking issues currently faced by players need a permanent fix from the devs; however, there are some weird solutions that seem to work for some users. Keep reading to find all the solutions that have worked for other users.
Elden Ring White Screen Crash Fix
The first solution we are going to suggest to fix the White screen crash in Elden Ring is absurd. In fact, over the past few months, I have heard of this fix to work in more than a few games. As absurd as it may sound, it has worked for quite a few lucky players. The solution is easy if you hate the Epic Games Launcher. Uninstalling the Epic Store and its related services somehow fixes the Elden Ring white screen. If we try to make some sense of the fix – a service of the Epic Games Launcher will start when you launch the game and if the Epic Launcher is not updated, the game will crash with a white screen.
The other fix that may work for you which is also related to the Epic Games Launcher is to update the launcher. Uninstalling or updating both works to resolve the error in some cases. If there is an epic service auto-launch when you run the game, it’s highly possible that the fix may work for you.
Unfortunately, if the above two solutions did not work for you, there is no better solution you can try at the time other than going over the basics and updating the GPU driver, the OS, and the audio drivers. We will keep an eye on the situation and update the post when we know more about the issue.
Uninstall the Epic Games launcher, EVEN IF you are using Steam. Tried every other solution, but that was the one that fixed it.
