Below are all the features that does get carried over while starting NG+ in Dragon’s Dogma 2
- Arisen’s and Main Pawn’s levels, rank, and skills
- Accumulated Gold
- Weapons and Armor
- Inventory Items
- Portcrystals
- Rift Crystals
- Map Progression
- Seeker’s Tokens and Golden Trove Beetles
To unlock all of the above, you have to go through the tutorial again and reach Borderwatch Outpost inn to learn how to reassign skills and unlock your inventory items. While you do retain your Portcrystals in your inventory, you have to reactivate them and place them again. If you have collected a sizable amount of Seeker’s Tokens and Golden Trove Beetles, you get to retain them. But they don’t respawn in the places where you picked them up.
Features that don’t get carried over to NG+ in Dragon’s Dogma 2 are
- Main and Side Quest Progression
- Hired Pawns
- Character Relationships
Your main and side quests will reset, and you will also lose any quest item from the main gameplay. Also, you have to visit the Borderwatch Outpost Riftstone to rehire your pawns. Since the main story resets, you would have to reestablish all NPC relationships from scratch.
What’s New in NG+
Some vendors will have new items in their store that you can check out. Dragonforged can offer enhancements to your weapons, skills, and vocation, so you can check them out in NG+
