To increase your backpack slots, you need to find Nell. Nell can be found in Hishahn, which you will unlock as part of the main storyline. Once you reach the town, find the marketplace to spot Nell on one of the market’s benches. You can also find out about Nell’s whereabouts by interacting with B’baba’s facility. You will spot a bag that you can interact with, which holds Nell inside. Pick it up then make your way to the HQ to start the process of increasing inventory space. 

Head over to the Drafting Studio to build the Stowpack shop. This requires 800x Headquarters Funds and 40x Pelts. Next, you have to keep upgrading the shop to unlock more inventory slots. Also, placing Nell as your supporting hero will help get you more slots in your backpack
