Bakarma Transcendent is the final boss of the Draupnir dungeon in AION 2. This fight may become tough because it is necessary for you to dodge many waves of water while approaching the boss. Moreover, it is crucial to break the Stagger gauge of Bakarma Transcendent during certain stages of the fight, in order to prevent the party from being wiped out. The second wave stage involves whirlpools and, therefore, makes the fight even tougher. Knowing when to move, jump, and use your Stagger skills will make the fight much easier.
How to Beat Transcendent Bakarma
The final boss of the Draupnir dungeon, Transcendent Bakarma, features a Stagger mechanic in AION 2. The fight relies on dodging the waves coming at you and breaking the Stagger bar before time runs out. The mechanic comes twice in the fight, and the second iteration has whirlpools added to the mix, making the mechanic even harder.
It’s advisable to save at least one effective Stagger skill before going into the mechanic. Normal attacks do not affect the Stagger bar in any way, so using Stagger skills before the check will make things difficult.
Transcendent Bakarma Boss Mechanics

At the beginning of the battle, instruct the tank to position Bakarma away from the team. The boss always targets with its frontal attacks the player posing the biggest threat, so the entire team must be positioned behind the boss at all times.
As soon as Bakarma’s HP drops to about 70%, the boss initiates the first complex mechanic. First, Bakarma steps back, and then runs back to the centre of the arena, charging an attack. The screen goes dark, and a number of water waves spawn from the boss.
Start running toward the boss while jumping over waves. Waves spawn rather quickly, so you should jump a little bit before hitting the waves to make this mechanic easier. You should get to the safe zone around the boss before the Stagger check starts. After getting to the boss, apply your most powerful Stagger skills. These skills should be used only for this mechanic because missing the gauge will result in a wipe.
Second Wave and Stagger

The second mechanic takes place when Bakarma is at about 30% health. As always, the tactic is the same: move towards Bakarma, jump over the waves, and stagger as fast as you can.
There is a new danger in the second check – there are now some water whirlpools in the arena. This makes it harder for you to move forward, so be careful about your landing spot after each jump. Do not try to stop jumping over the waves to attack from a distance, but keep going forward towards the boss.
It is especially important in this check since you might not have many cooldowns left after the first one. Save high-Stagger abilities whenever possible and coordinate their use with your party.
How to Avoid the Waves
The safest strategy is to start moving toward Bakarma as soon as the wave mechanic begins. Do not wait for the first wave to reach you before moving. Jump over each wave while continuing forward. Getting hit causes heavy damage and a significant slow, making it difficult to reach the boss before the Stagger check ends. Classes with gap-closing or mobility abilities can reach Bakarma more easily. Gladiators and Templars can also use certain defensive abilities to reduce the danger while approaching the boss.
Best Strategy for Transcendent Bakarma
Keep these priorities in mind throughout the fight:
- Keep Bakarma facing away from the party.
- Save strong Stagger abilities for the wave mechanics.
- Move toward the boss immediately when the waves appear.
- Jump over every wave instead of trying to tank them.
- Use Stagger skills as soon as you reach the safe area.
- During the second check, avoid the whirlpools while approaching.
- Use your remaining burst damage after successfully staggering Bakarma.
Bakarma also has an approximately five-minute enrage timer, so avoid spending too much time recovering from failed mechanics.
