The most important aspect of defeating the bubble-based boss in Genshin Impact is to understand and utilize its mechanics. You can succeed against this boss by understanding how to reflect its attacks, avoid taking damage from bubble attacks, and correctly utilize the ultimate ability. If you are having difficulty defeating the boss, this guide will help you with the general mechanics of successfully defeating the enemy and finishing the encounter.
How to Get Legris the Faux-Holy Sword
You’ll need to start by going to the Court of Pontaine. Start by going to the Water Zone and equipping Marvelous Abilities like Elemental Reaction which will help you vaporize and amplify the DMG of the attack that produces it. Remember, Hydro attacks receive a greater DMG boost than Pyro attacks.
Once done, you’ll need to select a commission target by starting the challenge. You’ll see a 7-minutes timer on the top left of your screen once you’ve begun the challenge.
Beating the Legris the Faux-Holy Sword Jellyfish
From the starting area, you’ll need to go right, then go down towards the left, and keep going further down until you spot a Hat Jellyfish that continuously fires strange bubbles. Use the Orb Rush to attack it and deflect the bubbles to defeat the jellyfish.
If the bubbles are not reflecting, make sure you are holding the special skill instead of simply tapping it. Aim at the incoming bubble until the tether locks onto it, then continue holding the skill for a brief moment to send the projectile back at the boss. Keeping some distance from the enemy also gives you more time to charge the deflection before the bubble reaches you.
Once you’ve defeated the Hat Jellyfish, look around the area, and you’ll find a Piano Soundboard. Use it on the jellyfish, and you’ll get Legris the Faux-Holy Sword. Once you get the sword, you can surface back and your objective will be complete.

You can also hit the boss with your regular attacks when the chance arises, but the encounter is structured around reflecting the boss’ bubble attacks. At all times, keep dodging the projectiles coming towards you while returning them to the boss so you can progressively minimize the boss’s health. If you find it difficult to time the reflection of the bubbles, create some space from the boss and try to time the reflection from a distance.
