Finding the Alpha Shark
To find the Alpha Shark, you have to head over to the new islands in the newest update. To get there, you need to build an Airport first, buy a ticket, and hop on the plane. Once you reach the island, you have to scan the ocean for shipwrecks. The shipwrecks spawn at random around the ocean, and there can be at least one or up to 5 shipwrecks in one map. To find the shipwrecks, it is best to use a jetski or a helicopter to scan the waters. You will usually find the tip of the wooden ship sticking out from the waters. Once you spot it, quickly get off your jetski or park your chopper on the nearby land.
The visibility of the shipwreck does not get affected by the day and night cycle, and also by the weather. No matter what weather and what time of the day it is, you can always spot the shipwreck.
Alpha Shark Fight Preparation
Next, you need to prepare yourself for the big fight. Weapons like the chainsaw, battle shovel, or anything stronger can help you defeat the shark. Also, carrying food that will help in healing and giving buffs like defense and stamina regen is important here. Equip your weapon and food in the hotbar to easily access them when needed. It is best to consume food before the fight to gain the buffs first. Then, wear your scuba suit and dive towards the shipwreck. Use your weapon to hit the shipwreck and the Alpha Shark will appear.
How to Fight the Alpha Shark
Once the Alpha Shark is out of the ship, use your best weapons to hit it. After a while, the shark will swim away for a brief moment, and you can use this time to heal. Wait for it to come back and attack you and land a couple more hits. You can fight the shark by standing in one place like underneath it. Keep repeating the above steps and get out of the way if you are extremely low on health. It is best to finish the fight in one go, or it will be hard to find it in your next run.
Once the shark is dead, collect the Alpha Shark Tooth, Alpha Shark Eggs, and some meat that you can use for crafting and cooking. The tooth can be found floating on top of the water or resting on a nearby rock after the fight, so collect it to craft the Alpha Trident.
