Error Cubes are the rarest minerals you can mine. Here we will see how to get and use it in Deep Rock Galactic.

You can bump into Error Cubes while completing any mission type and visiting any Planetary Region. If you think that you can quickly get these cubes by mining anywhere you want, you are far from the truth. The cube has a 1 in 26 chance of spawning during a mission, which is just 3.84%. There is a chance of getting it during an unmodded mission, but even that is rare.

To find the Error Cube, they are usually surrounded by glowing gray spikes that give out a purple shimmer. After mining it, you will get a black, six-sided polyhedron with nine smaller squares on each side, similar to a Rubik’s cube. It has rounded corners and edges, and each of the nine squares is divided by white, pulsating grooves. It will also have the name ERR://23¤Y%/ upon retrieving it.

Currently, there is no use for the Error Cube, and it is considered a bonus item. You can deposit it into the M.U.L.E and take it to the Space Rig, but it cannot be used for anything or sold. For now, the only thing you can do with it is get the “What Are These Things?” achievement, which you can claim after collecting 5 Error Cubes.
