Dead Island 2 has numerous activities to complete, and players must go through them to explore the entire game. Besides the main story quests, there are many side quests, which are fun and exciting. Mostly, players can complete them easily, and the Message in a Bottle side quest is one of them.
To start the side quest, open your map and travel to the Santa Monica Pier beach to pick up the Bottle. It will be on sand; pick it up to accept the quest. The Bottle has a note from a food critic who wrote it so someone can save him. Unfortunately, he is bitten by the zombies and becomes one of them. Now, the task is to find the zombified food critic and revive the journal from him.
This quest will take you to different locations. First, visit the Bucket O’Fish building and go to the basement to pick up the note from the Dark Room. There will be electricity on the ground; use the lever to stop the electricity and go to the Dark Room to get the note.
Next, go to Pier Grill, and you’ll find the note on the table outside. Of course, zombies are behind you. Take them down to clear your way. Once you get the note, your final destination will be Hot Dog Shack. You will find a group of zombies next to the shop, one of which is the Food Critic Zombie named- A.R. Oliver. Kill the giant zombie, and you will get his Journal Review. Your quest ends here.
