Charlotte is a reporter for the Steambird newspaper based in Fontaine, the Hydro Nation of Justice. She has a Cryo vision, which means she can use ice-based powers. She appeared in the 3.7 version of the game as part of an event called Duel! The Summoners’ Summit!

While she’s only just been introduced as a playable character, her release date is still up to speculation. Some leaks say she will be released with Fontaine in Version 4.0 while others say she might come even later. Regardless of her release date, her kit has already been partly leaked and though it is still highly STC (Subject to Change), we will take a look at it and other speculations the community already has.

Charlotte’s Initial Kit Leaks in Genshin Impact 3.7

Charlotte is said to be a 4-star Cryo Catalyst which would make her the first Cryo catalyst user in the game. Her kit will more likely have HP or DEF scaling and we’ll get to that soon.

Her normal attacks are pleasantly flavoured as she uses her camera to take pictures which are meant to be her attacks. Her normal attacks have a cone-shaped AoE range in front of her allowing her to hit multiple enemies at once. Her charge attacks hold major importance to her kit which suggests that she could be a DPS or at least an on-field unit.

Her charged attacks and her Elemental Skill have some connection but we don’t know anything about her skill yet. Her Elemental Burst sends her flying up in the air and her Skill or Normal Attack button gets replaced for a few seconds which she can then use to aim her Charged Attacks at specific enemies similar to the mechanic from Fayz Trials or Nahida’s E Skill. Marked enemies have reduced DEF and ATK which means she can effectively debuff enemies for a fixed period of time.

Her Constellation 1 is also leaked to be a co-op mode function where she can aim her Charged Attack at her teammates to give them a massive shield for a limited duration. Her E skill is also said to buff the DEF of her teammates.

The kit is wildly different from anything we’ve ever seen before. Charlotte’s kit sounds like she’s a quick-swap support unit to debuff enemies which would make sense since she isn’t the type to be a DPS- at least not in character. So what do you think about her kit?
