Unfortunately, Gotham Knights do not feature a hard target lock like most games, so you will only attack whoever is in front of you or who you are charging at. But there is a soft lock feature instead which will automatically shift you to the next target after you have eliminated the first enemy. Even if you are working in a team and your teammate has defeated the enemy before or during your hit, you will be automatically shifted to the next enemy.

To target a particular enemy, you need to move in their general direction while you attack to somewhat “lock in” on the enemy. If you shift direction or if another enemy comes in between, you will be targeting the new enemy. While this may seem frustrating, this is the only way to attack Gotham Knights.
