Genshin Impact 4.0 has finally given us Fontaine and we are drowning in new content- literally. One thing most of us didn’t expect was actually Lynette being given away for free- like completely free- not even as an event reward. As far as free 4-stars go, players don’t have high expectations from them but Lynette surprised us by being an actually good general Anemo sub-DPS unit.
In this article, we will go through a basic build guide for Lynette since most players should be building her anyway due to her currently being the only Ousia-aligned damage dealer.
How to Build Lynette in Genshin Impact 4.0
Lynette can be built as any other sub-DPS in the game as that’s her only viable role. Thankfully, even as an Anemo unit, she does not have any Elemental Mastery scaling so you can do away with looking for EM stats on your weapons and artifacts- though they will still be beneficial to her owing to her being an Anemo unit in general.
Her stat priority is as follows:
- ATK% or CRIT%: She has high DMG scaling on her E skill and her Burst also does decent Anemo DMG.
- ER%: Her Burst cost is 70 and since her Burst not only deals decent Anemo DMG but also taunts enemies, you will want to use it on CD so ER% is preferable after the usual DPS stats.
- EM: Since she’s an Anemo unit and her Burst can Swirl, EM is also a viable stat to look for.
Artifacts
Lynette’s preferred artifact set is always going to be the staple Anemo set: Viridescent Venerer for its massive All Elemental RES shred and Anemo DMG bonus.
You can also use the Emblem of Severed Fate set for a more powerful Burst and more ER%. The new Fontaine set Marechaussee Hunter is also a good option as it lines up well with her E skill and gives you a ton of more CRIT. You can also mix and match other DPS sets if necessary or if you have better stats in them.
Weapons
Lynette is best equipped with ER weapons with Sacrificial Sword (R5) being her BiS 4-star weapon as it not only gives her ER% but also an extra use of her powerful E skill. Her other ER alternatives include Favonius Sword, Festering Desire or the new Fontaine fishing reward sword- Fleuve Cendre Ferryman.
You can also go for the new Fontaine DPS swords like the Wolf Fang (BP Weapon) or the Craftable weapon Finale of the Deep. Since the Sacrificial Sword is still a gacha weapon, if you don’t have it fret not as both Finale of the Deep and Fleuve Cendre Ferryman are good F2P options.
As a decent 4-star sub-DPS, 4-star weapons are preferable since you can use your 5-star options on other units that can utilise them better. Lynette also falls in the same category. You can still obviously use 5-star ER or DPS weapons on her if you have one to spare and they will obviously be generally better than her 4-star options.
