During your adventure through Rosymorn Monastery at the end of Act 1, you will encounter one such puzzle that is a bit hard to solve. You will find the monastery after heading northeast from the Trielta Crags Waypoint in the Mountain Pass area. You can enter the monastery as part of the quest from Lady Esther, who talks about the Githyanki eggs and her plans to steal them. Make your way inside the monastery’s top floor to find the puzzle. Once you reach the stained glass floor, you know you have reached the place.
To solve the puzzle within the monastery, you need to find 3 weapons inside. The weapons you need to find are the Ceremonial Warhammer, Ceremonial Mace, and the Ceremonial Battle Axe. There are four altars in the middle of the room, and one of the altars already has the Ceremonial Longsword.
Ceremonial Battle Axe Location Baldur’s Gate 3
From the stained glass room, make your way south and jump across the gap on the left. You will spot a drawing of the sun here. Proceed further till you come across a locked Enchanted door (X:105, Y:45). You can lockpick it and jump across the debris to enter beyond the door. The battle axe can be found on the ground here, but it is surrounded by the Guardian of Faith spell. You can try to dispel it, but it will alert the Guardian. Defeat it, then pick up the battle axe and make your way out of the room to find the next weapon
Ceremonial Warhammer Location in Baldur’s Gate 3.
After leaving the room, turn left and use the Knotted Roots to climb through the crack on the floor (X:78, Y:41). There are two enemies guarding the Ceremonial Warhammer once you reach the top. Defeat them to pick up the Warhammer.
Ceremonial Mace Location Baldur’s Gate 3
Get down and make your way to the main entrance of the monastery. Go back to the place where you spotted the Knotted Roots that you used to get to the puzzle room. There are two broken windows right beside it (X:85, Y:30). Jump through them and defeat the enemies here. Any fire spell will work to detonate them. After that, inspect their corpses to find the Ceremonial Mace
Rosymorn Monastry Puzzle Solution
Make your way back to the stained glass room. You need to place the three weapons in a particular order, which is shown below.
- Dawnmaster Stockhold – Ceremonial Mace
- Dawnmaster Vaseid – Ceremonial Battleaxe
- Dawnmaster Seed – Ceremonial Warhammer
If done correctly, a hidden compartment will open up nearby. Investigate the compartment to get the Dawnmaster’s Crest and a letter.
