Suburbia is perhaps the most progressive and creatively leveled level in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, with suburban chaos, interactive environments, and hidden trick lines. A mix of yard configurations, rooftops, and creepy Easter eggs (like the Thin Man), Suburbia abounds in goals and numbered pickups—secret cash icons being key for players seeking to complete the game at 100%.

While there are mostly challenges that relate to exploration and combos, there is a bonus layer of reward for exploration provided by cash icons. There are four cash icons in total in Suburbia, and getting them all sometimes requires creative thinking, well-upgraded stats, and adequate use of ramps and environmental hazards.

How to Get All Cash Icons in Suburbia

1. Cash Icon Next to the Axe Ramp

This is likely the first cash pickup you’ll grab. Head toward the large axe embedded in the tree—this is part of one of the key goals in Suburbia. In front of the axe is a steep quarter-pipe-style ramp facing a fence. Build some speed and launch off the ramp, then ollie and grind the fence directly ahead.

The cash icon is located along this fence rail. You’ll need to stay balanced and land cleanly to grab it. This location is easy to reach with even a modest stat build, making it a good one to grab early.

2. Cash Icon on the Power Cables (Dish Area)

Another hidden spot involves using the power cables that run through the neighborhood to power the satellite dish.

Begin by turning the power box that is nearby (part of the “Restore Power to the Dish” task), and this will make the cables grindable and light up. Grind the cables by jumping onto them from either the nearby ramp or house roof. When grinding along the wire, you will notice the cash icon floating in the center of the path. Take time to balance and move in cautiously so that you don’t overshoot.

This pickup is a reward for players who are exploring the interactive objects of the level and adds an element of verticality to finding the cash.

3. Thin Man’s Passage Cash Icon

This is found next to the infamous Thin Man, that mysterious figure hanging out in the area.

To reach it, go into the backyard compound with the fence and eerie passageway. Go up the underground tunnel or side entrance depending on your direction. There is a corner ramp at the end of the passageway leading up to a hidden ledge.

Launch off the ramp, and the cash icon is positioned above or just near the landing zone. The placement is sneaky, but not difficult to reach if you’re exploring the Thin Man area as part of your regular objectives.

4. Cash Icon Near the Plane (Roof Access Required)

This is arguably the trickiest of the four and may require decent Ollie and Air stat upgrades to reach consistently.

When you attempt to reach the K letter on the S-K-A-T-E goal, you’ll be on your way skating over rooftops. From the rooftop of the house, locate the crashed plane that is imbedded in the ground below. Locate a ramp or sloping roof close to the nose of the plane where you can jump towards an airborne cash icon hovering in the air.

Timing and speed are important here. If you can’t make it, come back after leveling up your stats or attempt to do a boneless (up + ollie) to get more height from the ramp. Coming down clean after grabbing it is difficult, but not necessary for the pickup to register.

This follows the previous execution.

Collecting all four money icons in Suburbia is fun and challenging. Each pickup earns clever use of the level’s layout—from power cables and ramps to rooftops and hidden passages. While some icons require advanced tricks or stat increases, some simply take exploration and a bit of timing.
