To level up your character in Remnant 2, you have to choose all aspects of the gameplay, from their basic type to their Archetypes. The Dark Horizon brings new items, ranging from rings, that you can acquire.
Each ring you find has a unique passive ability that can help you in combat. Some rings are better suited to certain character types and playstyles. To know what each one does and how to get it, check out this new ring guide within The Dark Horizon DLC of Remnant 2.
How to Get Rings in Remnant 2
There are 31 new rings to discover in Remnant 2’s The Dark Horizon DLC. Some rings can only be obtained by completing specific tasks or activities, speaking to certain NPCs, or playing the DLC multiple times.
You do need to have either the DLC Bundle or the Platinum Edition of the game to play The Dark Horizon DLC and go along with the adventure that it provides. Then, select it as a one-off adventure from the World Crystal in Ward 13.

Disaster Converter | The ring can be found in the right-side path of the Agronomy Sector. | If your character’s health gets very low, they will get a shield that can protect them for 50% of their maximum health for 10 seconds. This shield is the most protection they can have, and it can’t be made stronger. |
Ring of Phantom Pain | Reggie in Ward 13 is selling this item. | If you lose health, it will come back at a slower rate, and you will lose 10 health points per second. |
Burden of the Excavator | Finish the Logistics Bridge. It’s at the end. | Explosions don’t have critical hits, but it increases your explosive damage by 35%. |
Breech Accelerator | When you first go to the Agronomy Sector in The Dark Horizon DLC, you will find this ring being guarded by an enemy. | You will move faster and hit harder by 5%, and this effect will be even stronger if you have Haste. |
Burden of the Protector | To get the ring, you need to finish the Stealth Event without setting off the alarm even once. If you set off the alarm, you can still try again, but you won’t be able to get the ring. | Your shields will last half as long, but they will be 15% stronger. |
Bypass Primer | You can find this item in N’erud by completing the Stealth event. | If you dodge perfectly, your gun will automatically reload. |
Clear Halo | We will update the information in future. | If you don’t get hurt for 10 seconds, you will get a shield that is 10% of your maximum health. This shield will appear over two seconds. |
Combat Shield Generator | In Mucid Terrarium, there’s a big locked door with a wire next to it. Shoot the wire with your Enigma weapon, and the door will open. Kill the enemies inside, then find another wire in the room and shoot it with Enigma. The door that opens will have the ring you’re looking for. | While fighting, crouching or sliding quickly will create a protective shield around you that can block enemy attacks. This shield lasts for 10 seconds or until it is destroyed. You can only do this once every 10 seconds. |
Custodian’s Bastion | After you beat Alepsis-Taura, talk to The Gardener to learn more about the Dryzr and himself. After you talk to him, you will find the ring on the ground. | Your armor gets stronger based on how much of your shield is active. For every 2% of your shield that’s up, your armor increases by 1 point. But your armor can only get a maximum of 100 points stronger this way. |

Detonating Cord | In the reroll adventure mode, you can find this item in the Agronomy Sector by gliding down into the building on the right side. Empowering Loop | To get this ring, you need to play on Hardcore difficulty. You can defeat bosses like Ixillis to get it. | Your ranged attacks will do 15% more damage, but your guns will take longer to shoot and reload. |
Feeding Tube | We will update the information in future. | While you’re fighting, it will automatically use the item in the first slot of your quick-use items every 30 seconds. This item needs to be compatible with this ability. It makes you use items and Relics faster, but it doesn’t work with Concoctions, Grenades, or some special items. |
Force Multiplier | We will update the information in future. | When you charge a weapon for longer than you should, you will do more damage, up to 1.3 times the normal damage. The longer you charge, the more damage you will do. |
Mortal Coil | We will update the information in future. | The more health you steal from enemies, the more damage you will do. For every 2% of your total health that you steal, your damage increases by 1%. But your damage can only increase by a maximum of 20%. |
Impact Augment | In Detrious Foundry, keep going forward until you find the ring next to a dead body. | If you take a lot of damage from one enemy at once, your attacks will do 3% more damage for 10 seconds. This can stack up to 5 times. |
Nanofiber Strand | In Withered Necropolis, glide down to a building on the left side to find the ring near a dead body. | Your shield will be 10% stronger. |

Security Half-Measure | To get this item, glide to the left of the Waylaid Conservatory worldstone. Fly around the buildings on the left side until you can squeeze through a narrow gap. Then, use a tornado to launch yourself up to a small platform near the Mucid Terrarium dungeon. Go inside the room and collect the ring. | When you use a Relic, you lose 15% of your maximum health, but you create a shield that protects allies within 8 meters for 10% of your maximum health. You can’t die from using this Relic. The shield lasts for 15 seconds. |
Shield Alternator | To get this item, you need to defeat The Prototype. You can fight The Prototype after you find the Prototype Arm, Claw, and Memory Core. | When you use a Mod that costs 100 Mod Power or more, you will get a shield that is 20% of your maximum health. This shield lasts for 15 seconds, and it can’t be combined with other shields from this ability. |
Siphon Filter | To find this ring, go to the new dungeon called “Logistics Bridge.” After you unlock the third and last mini-checkpoint, you should be standing above two other trains. Look for a hidden decoration pod nearby and shoot it. This will open a path where you can find the ring. If you have the “Fortune Hunter” skill from the Explorer class, it will help you find the ring more easily. | Your damage increases based on how fast you are moving. If you are near an enemy that is moving slowly, you will also move faster and your damage will increase even more. |
Spirit Alternator | To get the Spirit Alternator ring, you need to interact with the Prototype Memory Core. Before giving the core to The Prototype, look at it closely and press the button at the top.
