Metal Slimes are perfect targets for players who want to level up quickly. They’re also highly sought after for dropping Seeds of Agility, which increase a character’s speed. While they’re tough against most physical attacks and spells like Frizzle and Sizz, they can cast “Oomph” to boost allies’ attack power and use “Frizzle” to deal significant damage. In this guide, we will discuss all metal slime locations in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
All Metal Slime Locations
Metal Slimes are legendary enemies in Dragon Quest, recognized for their shiny bodies and resistance to magic. Defeating one provides a massive increase in experience, but you will need to act fast before it runs away. Each Metal Slime can give you around 4,140 experience points – far more than other monsters at that stage. Following are the locations of All Metal Slime in Dragon Quest 3 Remake.
- Mur: In the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, Mur is located northeast of Dharma Temple and doesn’t require a key to enter. Inside, you’ll find useful items like a Life Acorn on the church floor’s central cross, and a Pachisi Ticket and Mini Medal in pots on the second floor of the market.
- Fifer’s Spire: To reach Fifer’s Spire, sail east from Reeve, then head north on land. The recommended level for the dungeon is 22-23.
- Persistence: To reach Persistence, sail west from Portoga and follow the river north. No key is needed to enter. Once you have your ship, you can hunt for Metal Slimes, which appear in the woods on islands and peninsulas near Persistence, in the northeast.
- Lanson: Lanson is south of Baharata, accessible by sailing south. While there, be sure to buy a Hide Herb from the item shop, as you’ll need it to enter Edinbear.
- Wayfarer’s Chapel: You can reach the Wayfarer’s Chapel by warping from the Teleportal Shrine. There are no shops or items here, but you can use the Final Key to continue your journey to Samanao.
- Tower of Transcendence: The Tower of Transcendence is an optional dungeon north of Alltrades Abbey.
- Rimuldar: The quickest way to level up is by defeating Liquid Metal Slimes in Rimuldar, which grant 40,200 experience points each.
- Oceans and Rivers:
- Theddon: Located south of the Shrine across Portoga, accessible by sailing south. Theddon has items and equipment, with no key required.
- Jipang: Sail north from Reeve to reach Jipang. No key needed, and the town has various items. Head east to find a cave with rare Metal Slimes, ideal for farming XP.
- Greenlad: Located on the ice continent, reachable by sailing south from the Pirate’s House.
- Olivia’s Promontory: Sail south from Noaniels to reach Olivia’s Promontory.
