Heart of Stone is one of the most unique materials in Black Myth Wukong. Players need to collect the material in Chapter 2 of the game. However, to get these materials, players need to collect six Buddha’s Eyeballs in Black Myth Wukong. This article will help the players find these Eyeballs and obtain the Heart of Stone in the game.
Guide to get Heart of Stone in Black Myth Wukong
Black Myth Wukong is an action RPG developed by Game Science, rooted deeply in Chinese mythology, particularly inspired by the classic 16th-century novel “Journey to the West.” The game places players in the role of Sun Wukong, the legendary Monkey King, as they battle through a world filled with mythological creatures, gods, and demons. Since its August 2024 release, the game has garnered widespread acclaim from the global gaming community.
Collecting the Heart of Stone is one of the most exciting missions in Black Myth Wukong. The mission is a part of Chapter 2 of the game when players arrive at Fright Cliff and come across the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine. Before the players reach the shrine in Black Myth Wukong, they will notice chanting and spot glowing eyes in a Buddha Head lying in the sand. When they interact with this Buddha Head, they will obtain the Buddha Eyes key item.
There are six Buddha Eyeballs in the game. Here are all the locations of the items:
Buddha Eyeball 1:
As the players approach Fright Cliff from Sandgate Village, they need to go uphill toward the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine. Along the path, they will pass a chanting Buddha Head on their right. Pay attention to its glowing yellow eyes, which signal its importance. Interact with this Buddha Head to collect the Buddha’s Eyeball key item.
Buddha Eyeball 2:
From the Squall Hideout Keeper’s Shrine, take a right turn and look to the left past the wall. Players will notice a set of stairs leading upwards, with a wooden structure visible in the distance. Head toward this structure to find the next Buddha Head. Climb the stairs, and players will encounter a group of enemies, primarily using ranged attacks. Use cover or block their attacks, and carefully eliminate them as you make your way up. After reaching the top of the structure, players will find the Buddha Head with its signature glowing yellow eyes. Interact with it to collect the next Buddha’s Eyeball.
Buddha Eyeball 3:
After collecting the second Buddha’s Eyeball from the top of the structure, take a moment to look down. Players will notice the third Buddha Head below, its glowing yellow eyes indicating the next Buddha’s Eyeball. Players need to descend from the structure, using any platforms or ledges to avoid fall damage. Once they reach the area below, they need to approach the Buddha’s Head and interact with it to collect the third Buddha’s Eyeball.
Buddha Eyeball 4:
Facing the third Buddha Head, players have two options for moving forward:
- Head Left and Backtrack: If the players choose to head left, they will need to backtrack a little, and then take the first right they come across.
- Continue Up the Right Path: Alternatively, players can keep moving up the path on their right, and when they reach a sharp left turn, follow it up a set of stairs.
Both paths will merge eventually, leading to an open space where they will encounter a stone enemy. Defeat or avoid the enemy to proceed.
On the opposite side of this area, they will spot a wooden structure with a path leading into a cave. Enter the cave, and shortly after entering, take the first left. At the end of this path, players will find another Buddha Head, but it will be guarded by a Poisestone enemy. Prepare for the fight, as this enemy may require a more tactical approach due to its poisonous abilities. Once the Poisestone enemy is defeated, players need to interact with the Buddha Head to obtain the next Buddha’s Eyeball.
Buddha Eyeball 5:
After defeating the Poisestone enemy and collecting the Buddha’s Eyeball, turn back and head in the opposite direction within the cave. Players need to reach a small body of water. On the opposite side of the water, players will notice a large opening leading to Rockrest Flat. Also, there’s a smaller path to the left with stairs leading upwards. Follow any of these paths as stairs leading up to a boss encounter with the Mother of Stones.
Climb to the top and look for an opening where sunlight filters through on the right. On the left, players will see the large stone structure of the Mother of Stones. Stepping outside, players will spot the Buddha Head in the distance and they can collect the Buddha’s Eyeball from this Buddha Head.
Buddha Eyeball 6:
After dealing with the Mother of Stones, head back down the stairs to the body of water and take the left exit leading to Rockrest Flat. Here, players will find another Keeper’s Shrine. From the shrine, players need to go left, and they will soon spot the final Buddha Head with its glowing eyes. Interact with it to collect the last Buddha’s Eyeball.
Once the players have gathered all six Buddha Eyeballs, the game will indicate that they’ve successfully collected all the necessary items to get Heart of Stone in Black Myth Wukong.
