Before you start your rest, you need to assign yourself a house if you haven’t already. After building a house from the build menu, you can place some furniture inside. One of the furniture you can put is a mat to sleep on. You need to get the required materials to build a mat, then craft it inside your house. Once you have marked a house and mat as your own, you can get inside and get some rest.
To make your character sleep, all you gotta do is stand in front of your mat till the interact button pops up. Even if you don’t have a mat, if you stand in front of your house door, you will get an option to rest. After that, you can head inside and let your character sleep. This will also help advance the time and quickly enter the next day.
