This dungeon is called the Gauntlet of Shar, and to get past the initial stage and explore it, you need to solve the Statue Puzzle. The Gauntlet of Shar can be found if you head underground in the Thorm Mausoleum. You can access the mausoleum if you head south from Last Light Inn. Head inside to find the first puzzle. Solving it will help you gain access to the elevator that will take you down to the Gauntlet of Shar. You will need Astarion’s sleight of hand skill to disarm the traps in the area, then study the murals. You have to interact with each mural in the order below.

  • Splendor 
  • Tragedy 
  • Infamy

Take the elevator down to find the statue puzzle. There is a statue in the middle of the room holding an orb. If you get too close to the statue, it will push you back. To solve it, walk around the force field slowly to find levers around the area. It is best to ungroup your team and make your way around.

After interacting with all the levers, you will find several torches get lowered. Interact with the torches to extinguish them. Be careful of traps along the way. Once the area is shrouded in darkness, take a look at the glowing lines. Then, crouch and make your way around these lines. You will soon stand in front of the statue and touch the orb.
