Lae’zel is one of the earliest characters you will encounter. To find her, head north towards the Nautiloid crash site after waking up. You will spot some Tieflings roaming around. If you talk to them, they will tell you about Lae’zel. There is a cage where you can find her if you go further. Get to know her circumstances by talking to her.
Kill Lae’zel
If you kill Lae’zel and support the Tieflings, she will be allowed to fight. You still have another chance to change your mind. If you don’t, she won’t fight and will die quickly. This will lock you out of owning her as a companion later on, and also lock you out of all romance options with her. Shadowheart will approve of your decision, and you can loot Lae’zel’s corpse for rare loot.
Free Lae’zel
If you free Lae’zel, you have two other options. You can fight the Tieflings or deceive them. Fighting the Tieflings will affect your character, so keep that in mind when choosing this option. Astarion will approve this decision.
Freeing Lae’zel can help you add her to your party, giving you an excellent fighter for the early game. You can also complete her companion quest, which will allow you to romance her later on.
Deceive the Tieflings
You will get this option if you have high deception. Selecting this will convince the Tieflings that Lae’zel is dangerous, which will make them flee. You can then escape with Lae’zel quickly before they return. All other options under freeing Lae’zel will apply here too.
