To start, go to the crocodile-infested swamp in sector H15. You can kill all the crocodiles here to make the area safer. There is a lone hut in the middle of the area with a mad man inside. You can kill him or ignore him, but he will attack you if you get too close. The side quest Lenore will start automatically when you interact with the typewriter inside the hut. The first line of a poem will be shown.
Ah broken is the golden bowl! The spirit flown forever!
This is the first line of the poem titled Lenore, and you will also see several magnifying icons appear all over the swamp. You have to interact with 7 items around the swamp to complete the puzzle. It doesn’t matter in which order you investigate the items, as each time you do, another sentence from the poem will appear. Below are all the items you need to interact with in the swamp
- Typewriter and bathtub inside the cabin
- Two statues outside the cabin door
- Corpse on the bier – right side of the swamp
- Statues with a torch and no flowers and another pair of statues with torches and flowers – left side of the swamp
- Three statues with flowers outside the cabin door
You need high wisdom to pass the wisdom test and uncover the truth. And with that you will clear the quest and get XP as a reward.
