You can get Dark Impulse by defeating Cultists and Cosmic enemies. But every time you defeat them, you are not guaranteed that you will receive the Dark Impulse drop. You have to take a gamble and work your way through every cultist encounter to get this rare item. Here are a few ways you can increase your chance of encounter with cultists and cosmic enemies
- Participate in Oblivion’s Ingress dungeons to find cultists to defeat
- Select the route that has the Bat Country modifier
- Traveling in pitch black, or diminishing the stagecoach flame, will make cultists appear
- Road Battles are a great way to fight Cosmic enemies
While fighting cultists, you also need to get cultist trinkets for the Dark Impulse to work. After you collect the cultist trinket, equip it alongside the Dark Impulse to get enhanced buffs. The Dark Impulse trinket itself will take up one slot, so pick the trinket wisely that you wish to equip in your last empty slot.
