Like RPGs, Darkest Dungeon 2 has tons of activities to do, and opening new paths for your heroes is one of them. The game is based on a group of heroes overcoming challenges to reach a mountaintop and destroy evil. In this course, new paths will open, and players can select a path for their heroes. However, not every path is suitable for every hero character. Your path will decide the rank of the hero.
If you are looking for new paths but don’t know how to unlock them, let me tell you, you have to go to an Altar of Hope. It is the only way to unlock new paths. Every time you start a new expedition, you will be taken to the valley with the Altar of Hope. Once you are in the Altar of Hope, go to The Living City option.
Interact with The Living City option, and you will get the list of the heroes. Beside every hero, you will see a line of diamonds that represents the paths your hero can choose. Each time a new path unlocks, a diamond will start glowing. However, spend the required number of Candle of Hope to unlock a new path. Each path has different requirements of Candles of Hope.
Now, if you are confused about what are Candles of Hope, let me tell you, they are in-game currencies in Darkest Dungeon 2, which you can get by completing missions and progressing through the game.
