As you can play with your friends in the game, there are some ways through which you can interact with them through the game mechanisms. The Union Circle has been introduced into Pokémon Scarlet & Violet for this purpose, so let’s find out what it does.

The Union Circle was first seen in Sword and Shield, but now it’s bigger and better than ever. With the help of this feature, you will be able to form a cooperative party with other players and share worlds. In Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, you will be able to play your own game in your world while still playing in co-op with your friends.
By playing Pokémon Scarlet & Violet online, you will be able to open your world up to multiplayer options of trading and raiding. In order to do this, you will need to unlock the ability to either host your world or join that of another player. You will not be able to do this right away at the early game, but need to play for about an hour and a half of the game’s tutorial.
Once you get to your first Pokemon Center, you will be able to access the option of multiplayer. This can be done by interacting with the sign outside the Center, which is the Union Circle. You will need to stand on the Union Circle to get the multiplier options.
In multiplayer mode, you will be able to play with your friends in one world. Up to four people can join the world and you can play either Offline with nearby players, or Online.
