Modern Warfare 2 has some new features that players can explore, and one of the newer modes that have made it to the game is called Raids. Raid mode is a multiplayer mode that is far different from anything available in the Call of Duty franchise. Of course, the combat element will remain, but the approach will be different from any other mode that is currently being offered. In this guide, we will see what exactly is Raid mode in Modern Warfare 2.
What is Raid Mode in Modern Warfare 2
It is rumored that Raid mode will be tied with Spec Ops, but with multiplayer elements added to it. Here we will see how Raid mode works in Modern Warfare 2.

Under Raid mode, players will be grouped in teams of three to take down enemies. The format would be PvE or 3v3, whichever is convenient for the team. Besides defeating the enemy team, they will also have to race to be the first one to raid loot. There would also be some objectives that need to be solved along the way, making this mode engaging. Somewhat like Destiny 2’s Dungeons and Raids or the Raid feature in WoW and FFXIV, the Raid mode will take some elements and put that into action in Modern Warfare 2. There are also rumors of there being a final boss battle, so that is something to look forward to when the mode comes out.
The official date of release for Raid mode will not happen during MW2’s launch, but rather it will happen way later. The date is fixed for December 14th, 2022, so fans still have a longer wait to play the new mode. Nevertheless, players can engage themselves by playing the official MW2 at launch, or wait a bit longer to play Warzone 2 to pass the time.
